This is an update to a previous post where I explained how to “tweak” an Artisteer theme to add a Flash header.
Two things have happened since I wrote that post. First, the plugin used to create the Flash header – Flash Fader Revived – has been removed from WordPress, nowhere to be found. Second, starting with release 2.4, Artisteer has incorporated the Flash header capability into the software. What this means is that now you don’t have to “tweak” any files to add a Flash header to your theme. On the other hand, now you have to provide a Flash “movie” to be displayed in the header area.
To take care of the Flash movie, I have found a great simple program called Amara Slide Show Builder. With this program you only add the pictures you want, set the size, the transitions and let it create the Flash movie for you. You don’t have to know any Flash whatsoever.
To your WordPress success,
Ovidio.

I enjoy reading the report, too. It′s easy to understand that a journey like this is the biggest event in ones
life.
Nice article, nice blog, I have twittered your blog, it is worthy doing this. Thank you.
Thank for this great post, i like what you
read.
Thanks for this informative bit of info regarding adding a flash header to an Artisteer template. Am I to understand that I simply have to somehow point Artisteer to a particular flash file? Excuse my ignorance, as I am new to the Artisteer program. I wanted to create something similar to this site: http://tuni.skateofflorida.com/welcome.htm for a small clothing shop. Currently, I don’t like the “blog” look, but I know that I can alter it a bit with proper guidance. The web only serves to confuse me more sometimes. If you can offer any enlightenment, I would appreciate it! Thanks!

What version of Artisteer are you using? The latest version has flash banners already built-in.
