Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Ovidio DeJesús, and I am the creator of Building Killer Websites.

With the downturn of the economy, I lost my job over a year and a half ago. After looking for work (with no luck) for over six months, I decided to try something else to help pay the bills. I decided to try Internet Marketing. I am a Computer Engineer by trade, so I used my technical skills and started by learning HTML and CSS to design and publish websites. Then I moved into Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and other ways of marketing my websites. One of the tools used to market websites is through the creation of blogs (using WordPress), so I created several blogs, but never thought of using WordPress for creating websites.

While doing research for of one of my projects, I stumbled upon a couple of articles about using WordPress as a vehicle to create websites fast and easy. This idea intrigued me, so I researched it further. I went all over the web and read all sorts of articles and came up with a “system” on how to configure WordPress to look and behave like a “static” website. I was so amazed at how easy it was that I shared my system with a couple of friends. After trying it, they gave me the idea to create an eBook to share this system with others. So this is how this eBook came to be.

The eBook is targeted mostly to “newbies” (just like I was about a year ago), but the information in it can be helpful for anybody. I have also supplemented the information in the eBook with a set of articles in the section Websites Tips & Tricks. This is where I publish new information that I have learned after the publication of the eBook.
